The fine print

You have booked a wedding or portrait session with us – thank you!

We appreciate you entrusting us to capture your one-of-a-kind moments, and will do our best to WOW you with the results.

Here are the nitty gritty details of working with the IMP ladies. Please, take a read!


Then, we won’t need to spend time talking about the Fine Print {aka a little bit boring, but still...important details} during your session, and we can just get down to the business of having fun :)


  • We edit all images, including light & color adjustments and cropping.
  • The images you see on our website & current social media represent what you will receive! Should you have special requests for editing they must be discussed prior to booking your event to ensure we are able to accommodate your requirements.
  • If you require corrections for tattoo removal, stretch marks, acne, etc. we charge $10/image.
  • We do not specialize in post-shoot corrections and prefer to get it right – Straight Out of the Camera :)



  • You receive your high-resolution, non-watermarked digital images through a down-loadable on-line gallery.
  • There is a shopping cart attached to your gallery, so you can order your own prints, canvases and metal art.
  • Your gallery is password protected, and you can share the link with friends and family.
  • There is a $50 fee to reload your gallery after it has expired. We always suggest downloading your zip files immediately :)
  • USBs {$25} or CDs {$10} are available with any booking.
  • RAW files are not available.
  • Copyright of all images remains with us. Edited images are yours to share, print and cherish forever ♥
  • Larger files available upon request.
  • We retain your files for a minimum of one year after the date of your event.

Portrait Sessions

  • Your session time begins based on your scheduled start time. We suggest you arrive at least five to ten minutes early.
  • Please use this time to prepare for your session: Men’s phones & wallets out of pockets. Children fed, awake and in session outfits.
  • Our fee is $150/30 minutes for additional time. This increases your total images received.
  • Prices listed are for up to six people/session. Extra charges of $20/person will apply.
  • No deposit necessary, but payment is required prior to receiving your gallery link.
  • Full details provided on your personal confirmation email!
  • Please note, if we have provided you with session date possibilities via email, we will only guarantee those dates remain available for one week.


  • For our three Wedding Packages we require you to complete our wedding contract; and provide a $500 deposit as per the contract.
  • Upon receipt of your deposit, we complete our portion of the contract and return it to you as a receipt and confirmation that your date has been booked.
  • Half your remaining investment is payable two weeks prior to your wedding.
  • Final payment is due within 3-4 weeks of your wedding, and prior to receiving your gallery links.
  • Additional details are included on our wedding contract.
  • For custom weddings/elopements/vow renewals; your date is not booked if we have not received your deposit within a week of confirmation.
  • Minimum 4-hour booking for any summer Saturday (May long to September long weekend).


  • Details will be provided on your completed contract.
  • Take place in the Parksville/Nanoose area during our shoulder season.
  • Are held for us to consult on your wedding plans, get comfortable with each other, identify the best way to ‘shoot you’, and for the two of you to relax + indulge in some sweet romance.
  • In case you already have children, just a note: we LOVE kids, but this is an adults-only, not family sesh ♥
  • Have no cash value and are not exchangeable for wedding time or product.
  • Complimentary engagement sessions can only take place before your wedding. They cannot be used in lieu of for other events (e.g. family photos) after your wedding day ♥
  • They are purposeful sessions, as we {really + truly} want to spend this time with you before your celebration. Thank you for your understanding!

Social Media

  • Unless you indicate otherwise at your session or via email, we love to share some of your images! This may include Facebook, Instagram, our website or other media. You never know if one of your portraits will become one of our Award winners!
  • Sneak peeks are a fun way for you to see some of your photos sooner than waiting for your gallery link. We generally post within a week of your session. We do not notify you before posting, but if you would like to be notified; then please let us know during your session.
  • We don’t tag you on FB or IG without permission, but are always thrilled if you choose to!

Ordering Albums and Art

  • For items not on our shopping cart; you will receive an email detailing what we require from you to select your album or art images.
  • For album orders; we encourage you to indicate a few favorite images that you wish to have highlighted.
  • We are excited to design a beautiful keepsake from your day and will artistically create each page.
  • You will receive a proof of the entire book prior to us sending it to print.
  • There is no charge to make three changes {e.g. a photo substitution is considered one change}, if you require additional revisions it is $25/item.
  • We require you to order your album within 6-9 months after your wedding (sooner is always better!). As we have no control over our vendors raising their prices, an additional fee maybe charged for albums ordered past this timeline.



  • Travel charges may apply to your session. Travel fees begin at $25 for outside of Nanoose/Parksville and range to $300 {for example, Tofino, Victoria, Port Hardy} depending on location. Always confirmed ahead of time.
  • We have a minimum three hour booking to: Tofino, Victoria, Port Hardy and surrounding areas, please ask us for details!
  • Accommodations required? Well, maybe! If our drive is further than two hours from Parksville (as in Tofino) you may need to provide us with a room for the night. It’s one room, for one night and we can chat about this during your booking process :)
  • Portrait sessions take 4-5 weeks for completion, and weddings 8-10 weeks. We do our best to shock {& awe} you with earlier results, but especially during the crazy summer season this is our anticipated timeline.
  • Rush fees apply for packages required sooner than our timeline, and we would need to know ahead of time whether we can accommodate that request for you :).
  • Shipping fees begin at $25 depending on your package.
  • All payment options are listed on your invoice. All packages subject to applicable taxes.
